I'm in the process of building a sunroom onto my back living room and I'm looking for a very well made window that will help keep my house nice and energy efficient. I have some quotes from three different fiberglass window brands and wanted to get another opinion -- all the windows will be double-hungs, approximately 36" by 60"
Bid 1: Serious 525 Series with a 0.24 U value: $755 per window
Bid 2: Inline 900 Series with a 0.22 U-value: $714 per window
Bid 3: Fibertec 400 Series with a U-value of 0.22: $650 per window

Steve, all three of these brands are excellent fiberglass windows in my opinion. While I do have a bit more experience with Serious and Inline, both excellent, I would have a hard time not at least taking a closer look at the Fibertec. They are a Canadian based company, which is the reason that I don't hear much about them. I would talk with the company that was bidding them out and see how much actual experience they have working with them.
I think I would be leaning towards the Inline 900, unless the company could convince me that the Fibertec had a track record that I could get behind. I would also be curious to see how the air infiltration numbers stacked up on all three, that would certainly be worth looking into.
