Stanek Windows are headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio and specialize in vinyl and hurricane impact windows. Stanek sells their windows through distributors throughout the mid west part of the country, but isn't available in the western half of the United States.
The company went bankrupt in 2013 and was acquired by Great Day Improvements. To be more precise, Great Day bought the company's assets, not their debt, which means that any warranty from Stanek windows purchased prior to 2013 is null and void. This is not welcome news to these consumers to be sure. The good news seems to be that Great Day Improvements is a solid company and doesn't look to have any financial difficulties on the horizon.
Stanek Windows manufacture a quality vinyl window that comes in a variety of styles, and can be ordered in an interior wood veneer option. Although the Stanek vinyl window model was once known as the UltraXtreme series, their vinyl windows no longer carry this model name (at leas on the website). In addition to their non impact windows, the company also makes a quality hurricane impact window that is one of my recommendations for impact windows that won't break the bank.
