Soft-Lite Barrington Series

The Skinny: Soft-Lite is a very impressive vinyl window brand - one of the best in my opinion. The Barrington uses a less robust frame than the higher end Soft Lite windows, but still offers a quality build. Very impressive for an entry level window and definitely part of our affordable vinyl windows list.

Polaris Value Smart

The Skinny: Unsurprisingly, the ValueSmart window is the company’s base model from a quality window and patio door manufacturer. However, the VS is still a good unit that lacks the bells and whistles of the ThermalWeld options, but still uses many of the essential building blocks. While I don't hear about this window all that much, it still makes our list

Anlin Monte Verde

The Skinny: The Monte Verde website never mentions to name Anlin, but this is who makes it. The window is a stripped down version of their other more expensive windows. Anlin is a quality manufacturer though and their base model is still a quality product. Hopefully your project quotes put this into the affordable vinyl windows category as well.

Affordable Vinyl Windows : Alside Mezzo

The Skinny: The Alside Excalibur was one of the worst vinyl windows on the market. But Alside improved the sill and sash, cleaned up the corner welds, and added a component or two. The result is the Alside Mezzo. While not the sturdiest of vinyl windows, it does achieve a .04 air infiltration rating at the get go. This is a decent enough window that will serve you well for a certain amount of time.

Amerimax Masters Grande Series

The Skinny: The Amerimax Masters Grande, like most of the affordable vinyl windows on this list, is the base model of this Colorado based company. Essentially, the Masters Grande is a stripped down version of their higher end windows. Not the fanciest of windows, but the Masters Grande gets the job done well enough.

Burris TectView AC

The Skinny: The TectView AC is, yep you guessed it, the company’s base model to the TectViewCA and EX series. Yet even the AC uses VeKa vinylextrusions, a quality spacer, and Cardinal glass - considered the. best in the business. The result is a quality window that shouldn’t break the bank. Burris maintains a good name in the Texas vinyl windows category game and offers some good value in my opinion.

Gentek Signature Elite

The Skinny: the Gentek Signature Elite is more or less the exact same window as the Alside Mezzo. This is because the two companies are both owned by. A good mid range vinyl window will achieve good energy efficiency numbers for the price tag. I wouldn’t recommend this window for a forever home, but it’s a great option for a 15 year stint in a home.

Great Lakes HarborLight

The Skinny: Great Lakes Windows And Doors is now owned by Cornerstone Building Brands but the company has been allowed to maintain its traditional operation. Great Lakes has never been the crème de la crème of vinyl windows manufacturers across manufacturers, but they do make a nice clean window that helps up well over time. The company’s base model is the HarborLight model and is a simple but quality product. It barely sneaks into our affordable vinyl windows list.
