Apex Windows Costs
Explore Apex Windows Cost and prices on their vinyl Insignia window series. The Apex Insignia is a relabeled Alside 8000 series window. The Insignia series should run $600 to $900 fully installed. That is our target price for consumers -- they may be bid out higher than this, but this is what we think they are worth. If your bid is higher than this, you may want to consider getting more bids as a price comparison.
Apex Windows Ratings: The Apex Insignia energy efficiency should be roughly the following: U-value 0.21, SHGC 0.24, air filtration rate 0.10, and VT 0.42. A good performer for the most part.

Apex Windows vs Renewal By Andersen
Apex Windows vs Renewal By Andersen - these two companies are very different. Let's go through company structure, windows, marketing strategy, and price.
Company Structure: Apex, whose parent company is Great Day Improvements, has branches that it sets up in different cities and is run by a manager and sales reps in each city. It does not sell its replacement windows through dealers as with many other companies. Renewal is a franchised business, meaning that each "branch" is independently owned.
Windows: The Insignia window from Apex is a vinyl replacement that is an upgrade Alside 8000 window. It such be considered a good quality vinyl series. But not top tier in my estimation. Renewal sells the Fibrex composite window, which should be considered a good quality composite series. But not top tier in my estimation.
Marketing Strategy: Apex uses what's called a direct to consumer approach, knocking door to door and asking whether homeowners are interested in getting a replacement window bid. Renewal sells their composite windows using flyers and local television ads. The company has a pretty hefty marketing budget.
Price: Apex Windows prices per window will be $750 to $950 fully installed. Renewal By Andersen cost per window will be $1500 to $2000 plus fully installed.
Apex Insignia Windows
Thank you, Dane! Do you have an opinion on Apex Insignia windows? They are triple pane (although I know that's not necessarily better than double). They are vinyl over a fiberglass frame. U value is .22, R value is 4.54. I am curious if you think they: are high quality, hold up over time, any known post installation problems, any hassles with service?
My goals are something mid grade quality-wise as I will be in this home a long time. Ideally, I would like a wood interior because my home is very traditional and I think interior wood, or a wood "look" works best aesthetically. But I don't know if I can afford that. I don't want a window that is wood exterior -- I need a low maintenance exterior. I have 25 windows to replace, all of which are double hung except for one fixed picture window. I love the wood interior on the Marvin Ultimate Signature, but can't afford those.
I am getting quotes between $48-$56K for Marvin Elevate depending on the internal vs. SDL grids (I am leaning toward internal). I have a quote for $22K for Provia, and $36K for Apex Insignia. My goal would be to get a quality window, wood interior, at a max of 30k. I live in the DC area which is very high cost of living.
I would love any thoughts you have! Thank you.

[Site Editor's Answer]
Joanna, I would say that Apex is a good quality vinyl window. I might not put it into my top tier list, but a quality window to be sure. I would go with a vinyl window with a good grain laminate interior - they look really close to actual wood grain and you get all of the benefits of vinyl with the "look of wood" - the Okna rep in yoru area will have an Okna 800 that has a wood grain laminate. That ProVia does as well -- honestly, that would be the bid I would concentrate on -- the ProVia Endure with a wood laminate might run you $30K, up from that $22K bid you have now. The Endure is on my best vinyl windows list and one that I would endorse wholeheartedly.

Fanny, I would go with the Apex Insignia myself. I don't know enough about VWS to say whether this is a good option or not.

Milford, that Zen quote looks like the right call to me. It's the better window AND it's cheaper -- how often does that happen?!
